Emily joined Hunt & Humphry in 2007 and was admitted as a practitioner in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and High Court of Australia in 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia. During 2010, Emily was seconded to BHP Billiton to manage various project approvals including native title, Aboriginal heritage and planning approvals and negotiate and secure tenure in relation to a domestic gas project.
Her work with Hunt & Humphry is presently primarily to assist the legal principals in relation to all aspects of resources and native title and includes acting for client’s in Warden’s Court matters, Federal Court native title matters and National Native Title Tribunal matters. Emily also continues to provide strategic commercial assistance to BHP Billiton as the domestic gas project moves through the project execution phase.
Emily was appointed as an Associate at Hunt & Humphry on 1 July 2011
Emily has co-authored several articles and papers on native title and land access issues in Western Australia.
