Melissa holds degrees in Law and Commerce from Murdoch University. She joined Hunt and Humphry in 2003 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and High Court of Australia in 2004.
Melissa provides advice in relation to all aspects of resources and native title issues as well as commercial issues. She advises extensively on all aspects of native title and land, resources and infrastructure tenure issues. This includes managing native title and Aboriginal heritage processes, negotiating and drafting native title and Aboriginal heritage agreements.
Melissa appears in matters in the Supreme Court, Federal Court and Warden’s Court, and is presently acting for clients in over 40 Warden’s Court matters and 50 Federal Court native title matters.
Melissa has written articles for the Australian Resources and Energy Law Journal.
